Seattle 3-on-3 Youth Basketball Tournament.
Step onto the court at Pier 62 & Pier 58 for an unforgettable weekend of hoops, competition, and community! This two-day, double-elimination 3-on-3 tournament is built for youth ages 9–18, giving every team the chance to compete, bounce back, and make a run.
With male, female, and co-ed divisions, players of all skill levels can showcase their game, build confidence, and compete in an exciting waterfront atmosphere. Bring your team, feel the energy, and rise above the competition.

Tournament Rules
Please review the tournament rules before registering. These rules cover gameplay, conduct, and key tournament procedures.
Team Requirements
- Each team may have a maximum of 4 players.
- A team may play with 3 players for the duration of the tournament.
- For co-ed brackets, 1 female must be on the court at all times.
Equipment
- Players may not wear watches, jewelry, or braces that may cause harm to other players.
- Tournament staff may disallow any equipment deemed dangerous.
Bracket Types
- Tournament staff will place teams in the most suitable bracket.
- Teams may not switch brackets once agreed upon prior to the tournament.
- Tournament officials reserve the right to verify a player’s entry form data. False information will be grounds for dismissal from the tournament.
Fouls and Conduct
- In most brackets, offensive players will call their own fouls.
- All common fouls will result in free throw shot or shots.
- If a shooter is fouled in the act of shooting beyond the 2-point line, that player will be awarded 2 free throws.
- A technical foul may be called for unsportsmanlike behavior.
- Technical fouls result in 1 point and possession of the ball.
- A flagrant foul is a violent or aggressive act and may result in disqualification for the remainder of the game.
- Tournament staff will determine whether a player may continue in the tournament after a flagrant foul.
Spectators
- Team captains or a designated parent or coach are the only people, other than players, who may address the court monitor.
- Spectators or fans who address the court monitor in a negative manner may result in a technical foul being assessed to their team.
Scoring
- Baskets made inside the 2-point arc are worth 1 point.
- Baskets made beyond the 2-point line are worth 2 points.
- No and-ones. If a player is fouled in the act of shooting and makes the basket, no additional free throw is awarded.
Reporting Scores
- A player from the winning team will need to turn in the official check in paper to the tournament HQ (Bracket Tent). All official schedules, times, courts, revisions, and general game information will be available at this location.
Game Length
- Games will be 20 minutes or the first team to score 20 points.
- Teams do not need to win by 2.
- If a game is tied, play will stop for a coin flip. The first team to score 2 points is the winner.
- If neither team scores 2 points in 5 minutes, play will stop for another coin flip and the next team to score wins.
- A team may win on a free throw.
Possession and Take-Back Rules
- A coin flip before the game will determine first possession.
- The ball must be checked behind the take-back line.
- The offensive player must pass the ball in.
- The on-ball defender may not cross the 2-point line.
- The ball changes possession after made baskets and after all free throw attempts.
- Teams must take the ball back on any change of possession.
- The ball and the player must cross the take-back line before a basket can be made.
- If a team does not take the ball back before scoring, the basket will not count and the other team will be awarded the ball.
Out of Bounds and Jump Ball
- All balls out of bounds will be checked at the take-back line.
- The ball is not passed in from the spot where it goes out.
- The first jump ball will be awarded to the team that lost the coin toss.
- Possession will alternate after that.
Additional Game Rules
- Dunking is not allowed.
- If a player dunks the ball, the basket will not count and the other team will be awarded possession.
- Substitutions are only allowed during dead-ball situations.
- Each team is allowed 1 time-out.
- Time-outs are 1 minute long, and the clock will pause during time-outs.
Injuries and Arrival Time
- Players who are bleeding or have an open wound may not continue until properly bandaged.
- If blood is on a player’s clothing, that clothing must be changed before the player may return.
- Teams must be at their assigned court and ready to play on time.
- There will be a 5-minute grace period. If a team is not ready to play, they will forfeit the game.
Tournament Policies
- Designated tournament officials have the authority to make decisions on any points not specifically covered in the rules.
- Tournament staff reserve the right to disqualify any teams or players for violations of tournament policy, including the use of illegal players or providing false information.
- There will be no roster changes once the tournament has started.
Sportsmanship
- Each participant is responsible for their own conduct and the conduct of their team.
- All players are expected to represent themselves and their team in a sportsmanlike manner.
- Failure to do so may result in the player or team being ejected from the tournament.

How do I make a player change?
Player changes must be submitted prior to your team’s first game. Please visit the Check-In & Bracket Tent on-site or contact the tournament staff ahead of time for approval.
What happens if there are discrepancies on age?
All players must compete in the appropriate age division. Tournament staff may request verification at any time. If a discrepancy is found, teams may be subject to disqualification.
How do I volunteer/get involved?

Vendors are encouraged to apply through our website. Space is limited, so we recommend submitting your request early. Our team will follow up with next steps.
Can I register as an individual?
At this time, registration is team-based. However, individuals may reach out to be placed on a free agent list if available.
What happens if it rains?
This is an outdoor event. In the case of inclement weather, schedules may be adjusted or delayed. Any major updates will be communicated to teams as soon as possible.
Do we need uniforms?
Uniforms are not required, but teams are encouraged to wear matching shirts or jerseys for identification.
How many players per team?
Teams may have up to 4 players (3 on the court and 1 substitute).
What is the refund policy?
All registrations are final. Refunds will not be issued unless the event is canceled. In certain circumstances, credits may be considered at the discretion of the event organizers.
How much is the team entry fee?
The team entry fee is $150 per team, which includes a guaranteed minimum of two games. Each participant will also receive an event t-shirt.
Can I play on more than one team?
No, players are only allowed to compete on one team for the duration of the tournament. This ensures fairness and maintains the integrity of competition across all divisions.
