Providence Swedish Seattle Storm Academy

Join the Seattle Storm, Providence Swedish and Rise Above for this special event focused on empowering girls and nonbinary students to explore their future. We’ll use fun group activities to discover what our personal strengths and skills are, learn about teamwork, and explore our leadership power. Then, through hands-on activities led by doctors, nurses, and medical providers, we’ll learn about different areas of medicine and healthcare you can work in. The day will end with a special guest from the Seattle Storm front office who will talk about their experience as a woman in leadership, what it’s like to work in sports, and more.

Extra perks! This event includes lunch and snacks, a special event t-shirt, special giveaways, and 2 tickets to a 2025 Storm game for each student! 

Transportation: The Storm and Rise Above can assist with transportation to Swedish Cherry Hill. Chaperoned transportation by bus/van will be available from a central area in north Seattle and a central pick up area in Tukwila/south Seattle. If you need transportation select this option on the registration form! You will receive a follow up with details.

Participant Requirements:

• Girls (or nonbinary/gender nonconforming kids) in 6th-12th grade
• Interested in learning about jobs in healthcare (either as a provider or a support/administrative job)
• Ready to be curious and try something new in a fun environment
• Parent/legal guardian completes this Storm waiver and photo/video release for the event
