My name is Harry Lorusso. In 2019 at 33 years old I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of “incurable” brain cancer, glioblastoma. GBM has an average life expectancy of 12-15 moths. On paper this was one of the worst things to ever happened to me. In reality this has become a life changing event that I am forever grateful for. Since being diagnosed I have married the love of my life. I was told we most likely would never have children. We now have both a son and a daughter. My perspective of life and appreciation of our time here is something that I now understand and if given the opportunity I would not go back and change anything in regards to my diagnosis. I ran 5 marathons last year to celebrate 5 years since being diagnosed. I have been able to raise an incredible amount of money to support those battling this disease. Most importantly I have been able to give hope to those in a similar position. If given the opportunity I know I could be a major funding contributor and help inspire those in the cancer community who need it the most. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
